In the scrolling exhibit settings, you can change several aspects of how the exhibit appears on the site and in search engines.  

Change an Exhibit's Privacy Setting

On the scrolling exhibit edit page, select the information (i) / Status icon to view the exhibit’s current privacy setting in the side panel.

Select Change privacy.

By default, the exhibit inherits the site’s privacy setting. In the Change privacy dialog, select one of these options:

• Public: Visible to all. If the site is private, this option changes to reflect the site’s current privacy setting.
• Private, accessible with a shared password: Require visitors to enter a shared password.
• Private, accessible to any logged-in users: Limit access to signed-in users.
• Private, accessible to users in specific groups: Limit access to selected groups.

Select Save when you're done changing privacy.

Choose a Custom Thumbnail for an Exhibit

If you wish to replace the default exhibit thumbnail that shows on the site landing page, a Custom Thumbnail option is available in the Customize section at the bottom of the exhibit edit page, below the scrolling exhibit contents.

The exhibit's banner image is used for the thumbnail by default. Select Choose an image to replace the default thumbnail with a custom image. The recommended thumbnail dimensions are 400 × 400 pixels.

Once a custom thumbnail is set, select the ••• (more options) menu next to the image to Change image, Edit this image, or Clear choice (reverts to the default banner-derived thumbnail).

Feature an Exhibit on the Site Landing Page

The Featured checkbox, in the Details section of the exhibit edit page, controls whether the exhibit appears at the top of the site landing page in a Featured Exhibits section (the section only displays if one or more exhibits have this checked). Check this option if you wish to set the current exhibit as a featured collection.

Configure Search and Menu Settings

Select the Promote tab from the scrolling exhibit edit page to control how the exhibit appears in search results and whether it is included in automatically generated site menus.

Under For search engines, you can:

• Edit the Slug, which forms the final part of the page URL.
• Add a Title tag for the clickable page title shown in search engine results.
• Add a Meta description summarizing the page for search engines.

Under For site menus, select Show in menus to include a link to the exhibit in automatically generated menus.

At the bottom of the edit page, select Save Draft or expand the menu and select Publish when you finish configuring the exhibit.
